Dear Friends and Family of RRSC:

With great sadness, I report that RRSC has lost one of its greatest members, Eddie Vasquez, Jr. Eddie was raised in Rio Rancho and played for Rio Rancho SC during his youth. In the winter of 2008 he reached out to the club to become a volunteer coach. While he did not have kids playing in the club, Eddie wanted to give back to the city, the club and the sport he loved so dearly. At the May 2008 Annual General Meeting, Eddie stepped up to become the Club's Secretary. He filled our AGM with excitement and great ideas. It was instantly apparent that Eddie was going to have a huge impact on RRSC as we continue to build our foundation of a club focused on developmental soccer. I was just starting to get to know Eddie when I received the news of his passing. I can honestly say that I am less of a person now because I lost someone who was surely destined to become a very good friend. We will miss you, Eddie!! We will see you on the pitch because we know you will be watching!
