Mandatory Coaches Meeting - Monday Aug 13 7PM at Enchanted Hills Elementary School.  You will collect your Coach’s Binder and learn important information for the coming season.

Risk Management Registration, All new coaches: Please go to www.nmysa.net and click on "risk management". It will then take you to another page that will instruct you to click on the logo "League One". After you click on the logo, it will ask you some questions and some personal information; this is for the state to conduct a background check before you are approved to be a coach. Once you've completed the information, it will give you a confirmation number, please email that number to your Registrar (see above).

Certification: All coaches must obtain a certificate appropriate to your team’s age level by the second year of coaching. RRSC will reimburse you for the cost of the certification. Please turn in a copy of your Certificate to the registrar.

Information - Forms - Schedules

Practice: Contact Walter at commissioner1@rrysl.org  for practice field options and to put your team on the schedule.  Please keep Walter updated on any time/place changes that you make throughout the season.

Age Group Training Nights (AGTN): If you are interested in participating in the Age Group Training Nights, email our Director of Coaching at: doc@rrysl.org. The AGTNs are training sessions facilitated by Shane and our staff coaches. It is a great way for the coach to learn, to build his/her coaching toolbox and to give the kids a high-quality training session.

E-mail: Due to the large number of coaches in the Rio Rancho Soccer Club, our main source of communication is through e-mail.  Be sure to keep your email address current so that we can contact you with information.

Uniforms: Please collect (or have a team manager collect) your team jerseys and T-Shirts for numbering.  Bring them to Sandia Embroidery with the requested numbers written on the bag or tag for each uniform.  Please use single digit numbers as often as possible.  Numbering is free if submitted as a team.  Uniforms brought in as individuals will incur a $1 per number special handeling fee.  Due to the volume of uniforms, please allow 2 weeks to have numbers applied.

Thought from Claudio Reyna, US World Cup Captain (from USYSA's Coaches Connection in Jan): "For some reason, adults - some who can't even kick a ball - think it's perfectly okay to scream at children while they're playing soccer. How normal would it seem if a mother gave a six-year-old some crayons and a coloring book and started screaming? "Use the red crayon! Stay in the lines! Don't use yellow!" You think that child would develop a passion for drawing? Most important, parents must realize that playing sports is a way for children to express themselves."
